MMET*2020 --> MMET*2022

Dear colleagues!

On reviewing the current COVID situation in Ukraine and worldwide, we have come to the conclusion that holding MMET in live this year is far from realistic. Moving to the online format would strip MMET from its most important and valued feature, personal interaction of the participants. Therefore, in hope of carrying on the tradition to hold fully offline event, we have decided to move the conference to October 2022.

Take a good care of yourselves and stay tuned! MMET Organizing Team

MMET*2022 is the IEEE 18th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory. It is a traditional forum held in Ukraine since 1990. MMET is famous as efficient interface between the Ukrainian and Western scientists and engineers in the broad area of modeling and simulation of electromagnetic fields including wave propagation, radiation, scattering, guidance, processing, etc. (full list of topics see here). Characteristic feature of MMET is a stronger emphasis on the analytical and mathematical aspects of research into electromagnetics. The program consists of only oral presentations (30-minute invited talks and 15-minute session ones), and English is single working language.

We invite young researchers and leading scientists from all continents to take part in our Conference. Come to blend mathematics with electromagnetics for microwave, photonic and plasmonic applications at Europe's Far East - in Ukraine!

The forthcoming MMET conference will be hosted by the Uzhhorod National University, Uzhhorod, Ukraine. Uzhhorod is a small but really charming city located in the heart of the most Western of all Ukrainian regions, called either Sub-Carpathian or Trans-Carpathian, depending on where you look at it from. It is only 6 km from the border with Slovakia, and Hungary and Romania are also very near. The city has long history dated from the 10-th century A.D. Here, the architecture of the Austro-Hungarian period mixes with Czechoslovakian constructivist and Soviet modernist styles, and a famous alley along the river sports splendid Japanese Sakura trees and magnolias.

We're looking forward to meeting you next-year autumn!

Sincerely yours,
MMET*2022 Organizing Team.
