MMET*2014 will be held at O. Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University (DNU). It is one of the leading classical universities in Ukraine. It was originally known as Yekaterinoslavs'kyi University and opened on the basis of higher courses for women in September 1918 in Yekaterinoslav (now Dnipropetrovsk). Four schools were included into it. They were School of History and Philology, School of Medicine, School of Law and School of Physics and Mathematics.

The university today is a higher educational establishment of the IV-th level of accreditation (the highest level in Ukraine). It has 20 schools, Higher Educational Pedagogical College, Technical School of the Rocket Machine-Building, Zhovti Vody Industrial Technical School, Regional Centre for Continuous Study "Prydniprovia", Centre for Humanitarian Problems of Education and Regional Centre for Education Monitoring. Nowadays over 15000 students study at the university at 87 majors. They are students from Ukraine and also foreign students from more than 20 countries of the world. The university has a well reputed post-graduate courses and its educational and scientific programmes are provided at the level of the best national and international standards.

All conference sessions will be organized in auditoriums of the Palace of Students of DNU which is located in the Park of T.G. Shevchenko. This building is the former Potyomkin Palace and famous historical landmark of Ukraine. The Palace has been built in the garden area which is today a City Park bought from a famous retired Cossack leader in the end of the XVIII century and still keeps the original shape.
